One of the social economic bone is traditional market, but currently there are many minimarket with big mother company that mastery the basic good. Traditional market can't compete with this minimarket because they have competitive price that can't be beat by traditional market. Facing this problem Mr. Baharudin as the West Jakarta Major says that he will order to close of new minimarket operating too close to a traditional market in Kalideres.
Minimarket should stand as close as 500 meters from the nearest traditional market, if they are stand less than 500 meters this will violating the 200s bylaw on the private market. So far many minimarket that stand too close even less than 100 meters far from a traditional market.
"These days, the city administration is cracking down on illegal minimarkets, and now here we have this minimarket violating the bylaw. I promise I will close down this establishment," Baharudin was quoted to say by beritajakarta.com. This strategy is one of the distribution of income in the community in Jakarta after crisis in Indonesia happened last time.
